In Memory of
Bill Caldwell

William (Bill) Carey Caldwell was born on June 4, 1944, in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, and passed away on March 5, 2025. Growing up in New Jersey, he attended Mountain Lakes High School and graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1967 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He initially went to work for Westinghouse before being mentored in hydraulics. Bill spent many years designing hydraulic systems and later dedicated himself to teaching people throughout the U.S. in working safely and efficiently with hydraulics. He is currently being nominated posthumously into the International Fluid Power Society’s Hall of Fame. Bill retired on January 1, 2025, from NTT Training in Centennial, Colorado, as a part-time hydraulic instructor. 

Bill is survived by his wife, Karen; his daughter, Jane, and her husband, Kevin Schindler; his grandsons, Micah and Gabriel Caldwell; his sister Diane West and her husband Bob; his sister Lauren Caldwell; and his brother, Jeff Caldwell. 

Bill enjoyed exercising from his teenage years up until a few weeks before his passing and visited Chuze Fitness several times every week. His other passion involved his church and his love for Bible translation. As a financial partner with Seed Company, he was committed to seeing the Bible translated in every language in the world. His love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was evident in the ways he lived and shared the gospel amongst his family and friends. Though absent in body here on earth, he is now present with our Lord. He is sorely missed and will remain forever in our hearts.
