People in the Field
Meet a few of the people who make translation happen in the field.
Translators
We work with skilled translators who not only know the languages they translate in but are typically native speakers of those languages. They bring deep knowledge of the culture, idioms, and unique ways their people communicate.
Rolando is a Zapotec translator, pastor, and church planter in Oaxaca, Mexico. In 2014, he recognized the need to preach in the language of those who attend his church, but only a New Testament was available to them. So two years later, he approached UNTI (National Union of Indigenous Translators) about starting Old Testament translation, and the whole community now joyfully anticipates its completion in 2028.
Meet Marc, a Global Translation Leader in Zambia.
Bible translation involves more than just translators. Teams need quality assurance professionals, IT experts, project managers, and more. Since 1994, Seed Company has invested in the professional growth of over 800 Global Translation Leaders to fill these key roles. They serve alongside translators to ensure resources are stewarded well and the work is done efficiently.
Marc supports several language projects in Zambia. As part of his customized training plan with Seed Company, Marc built a website for the Kwamashi community. He was at their New Testament dedication in August 2024, helping with microphones. Thanks to Marc, they can now go online and see God’s Word come to life on their screens.
Come alongside translators and Global Translation Leaders on the front lines by supporting Seed Company.
