Romani New Testament Fuels Hunger for the Completed Old Testament

Stano, a Roma pastor, looks to the completion of the Old Testament so that his people can sate their thirst for God’s full counsel.

Stano, a pastor in Slovakia and a member of the Roma community, has been instrumental in helping to translate God’s Word into Romani, the language of his people. When the Romani New Testament was completed, the Roma rejoiced. But Stano knew their work had only just begun.

Though a completed New Testament is a reason to celebrate, Stano still desires for his people to have access to the full canon of Scripture in their heart language.

“We know that’s not enough,” he says. “We need the Old Testament.”

Stano and a team of translators are working hard to fulfill that need.
