Immerse yourself in their day of celebration.

“May I still have life to see the Bible.”

This was the prayer of an elderly Tz’utujil man. He had lived a long time hoping for a Bible in his mother tongue.

In April 2024, that prayer came true for him and about 60,000 others who claim the Tz’utujil language as their own.

The Full Counsel of God in Tz’utujil

As you watch the video below, imagine yourself in Santiago Atitlán, Guatemala. Rejoice over the completion of the Tz’utujil Bible alongside the community, worshiping and thanking God with them.

Join their dedication celebration below!

Reflecting on the newly translated Bible, one community member proclaimed: “It has transformed many lives.” Praise God for the gift of His eternal Word!

Now, the Tz’utujil can turn to any part of Scripture when they need it—whether they are seeking comfort, wisdom, hope, or peace. They can finally experience God’s message of love for them in full

Translation wouldn’t be possible without an international network of ministry and financial partners. The Tz’utujil Bible project was completed in partnership with the Mayan Educational and Cultural Association (ACEM Guatemala), SIL Americas, and faithful supporters like you.
