Because you prayed, advocated, and gave, God moved through you to transform lives in communities all over the world.
You Brought Hope to People Like Cicero
No matter where they live, Roma people face discrimination. They’ve often learned from the world that they and their culture are of little value. But God’s Word is showing them their worth in Christ.
Cicero, a member of the Chibi Roma people group in Brazil, had a reputation for drinking and fighting. After being arrested and imprisoned, he remembered stories that his brother Antonio—a Chibi Bible translator—had told him. He started reading Scripture for himself.
One day, he was pressured by a very influential inmate to participate in beating other prisoners. But he courageously replied, “While here, I found God’s Word and gave my life to Jesus.” Instead of joining the beating, he shared Christ with others in prison and saw many lives transformed!
A judge eventually pardoned Cicero. Today, he walks in freedom.
