How God accomplished what many thought was impossible.

“Most of the Etulo people look at it as something that is not going to be a reality.”

Those were the words of Benjamin, a coordinator and language advisor for the Etulo translation project.

What was the reality his people couldn’t believe? That they would one day have Scripture in their language.

While many people in the Etulo community didn’t think it was possible, eventually they came to hope that God would make a way for them to understand His Word in a meaningful way.

The New Testament Comes to Life

In May 2024, after years of prayer and faithful labor, the Etulo community celebrated the completion of their New Testament in written and audio formats. We are grateful for God’s providence over the entire translation process.

Experience the New Testament celebration in Nigeria below.

The completion of the New Testament wouldn’t have been possible without an international network of prayer and resource partners. When you support Bible translation, you are linking arms with translators and organizations around the world. The Etulo New Testament was completed in partnership with SIL Nigeria and Initiative for the Translation and Development of African Languages (ITDAL).
