Translation Is an Act of Sacrifice
Often the history shapers, who play the biggest roles and make the biggest sacrifices, are those whose names we never hear and we can never thank. Bible translators often remain anonymous because of the risk involved in this kind of work.
Translation work is not only arduous, but it is dangerous:
When we’re dealing with something as strategic, and as profound, and as long lasting as Scripture translation, we can forget that’s going to be an area where the enemy is most motivated to prevent such progress from occurring.
— Jason Mandryck, Operation World
Imagine the type of internal and external battles translators face in the midst of this work. They are the heroes of Bible translation.
Throughout history and even today, people are committing to do whatever it takes to get Scripture into the hands of more people. Join in the movement to pray for Zero—zero people without access to God’s Word.
